The "REUNION WEEKEND" of March 21-23, 2003 by Rand

First of all, many thanks to Tom and Karen for making the
Reunion Weekend
such a great time for everyone!

The weekend was a great gathering of current and former members and included many future (ie. kids) members. It was nice to see former members such as Mark & Mara Ploch, Ian and Tina Fanning, Tom & Patty Palk, Pete & Jeanie Zeuschner, and Rich & Mary Apat make the trip up to VT. The usual mega weekend check-in ritual was observed with many shots to get everyone warmed up at the Eagle's Nest. Saturday offered up some great spring conditions at Stratton with a nice sunny day with lunch "al fresco" at mid-mountain.

A nice dinner was held for everyone Sat night at the Swiss Inn and the party continued on at the Eagle's Nest... Sunday was a day to relax, pack, say good byes and then head home.

The last weekend saw spectacular weather - sunny and warm - not to mention an in-house big air competition and the Stratton pond skim. Tom, Karen, Marcos, Cindy, their friend Elizabeth, and myself closed the house and the season in style. While not only cleaning the house so you could eat off the floors, we also got in some great spring conditions at Stratton which is now closed for the season.

A great time was had by all and despite some spectaular big air crashes (I did land 2 of 4 jumps!), I will think back fondly on a wonderful season made even more wonderful by good friends!
